VALVE CUTAWAY

These are some pictures of some of the most popular valves used on spud cannons. Only difference is, these valves are cut in half to give you a better idea of their workings.

I gues the pilot valve and pilot chamber is on top of the 'T' ?

He might have used some kind of jigsaw.

Maybe we should do a cutaway of a sprinkler valve... just for sh**s and giggles. I could re-acquire my old 3/4" one from my buddies garage and slice it in half. Maybe a normal barrel sealer valve would work good as well.

Sorry to kick this but what type of valve is that? It looks like a breach loading piston valve without the piston.

Even though your question was asked a few months back, I felt the need to answer it as it went un-answered.
Sorry to kick this but what type of valve is that? It looks like a breach loading piston valve without the piston.
That would be a diaphram valve. Looks to be about a 2.5" or 3" Tee, I can't really tell though.

P.s. I like that valve very much. Looks to be top quality and very sturdy. (Other than the fact it's cut in half..) :lol:
