This seems too obvious...

Maybe it's a joke.

Or a test...

Regulators are probably tough to make yourself without a lathe and other tools, but if you really want to, here's a diagram of how a regulator works.

Thanks for your input. That makes sense to me. 200,000psi is a lot of pressure! And I'm pretty sure it's okay to talk about using diesel because it does not fall under the category of "explosives".

Compression Autoignition Solid Fuel Hybrid?

Iv'e got an idea here and wondered if this is at all feasible. The main idea is to compress air and solid powdered fuel like flour with enough pressure and velocity to create a temperature increase high enough to combust the fuel. In the concept drawing below I show a pneumatic ram system to push th...

Wow. That's a clever reloading/ignition mechanism there!

Do you have butane or something hidden in the grip for direct injection?

I made two gaskets out of PVC bathtub liner that I had lying around. The five bolts just squeeze everything together.

I usually just use one layer of printer or notebook paper, but it is noticeably more powerful if I put in 4 or 5 layers of paper. I haven't done any experiments with that yet.

There is an o-ring sandwiched between the rear end plate and the triangle to seal round the rod.

Aluminum Cannon w/ Mixing Piston

I built this cannon mostly from scrap aluminum I purchased for $4.50 a pound. I ordered all the other stuff from MSC Direct and McMaster Carr. Plus countless trips to the local True Value hardware store. Features: - Aluminum construction - Manual mixing/exhaust piston - Piezoelectric BBQ ignitor - M...

You probably tried this already, but maybe if you got rid of the sabot and just used the latex grenade with a bunch of baby power it would still go and there wouldn't be the danger of having the sabot hit someone. The problem with that is you might need a slightly smaller barrel...

saefroch: I have built a coaxial two stage pump before with copper fittings and this time around I'm going to use some thicker stronger stuff. How it works is there is a large cylinder with a narrow cylinder inside of it with a donut shaped piston for the large cylinder and a normal piston for the ...

The pump head will be .25 in in diameter. It will be a two way pump so it doesn't take so long. The QD I am talking about is in the picture in the link that comes with the remote line. The slide check valve is apart of it too. I know the QD and check valve are rated to a high pressure (too at least ...

HPA tank fill assembly

I am thinking about building a small caliber high pressure semi automatic launcher and my plan is to use an HPA paintball tank as the air source. To fill the tank I want to build my own high pressure pump (separate from the gun). My hope is that this HPA tank and remote line combo: http://www.paintb...

The problem with sharkbite fittings is that although they seal air, they do not firmly secure the pipe. Using this type of fitting for your barrel will make it wobble around like crazy.
