metal dose look nicer but pvc is dirt cheap, or at least it is were i live.

I went to buy a sprinkeler valve from a lowes but they didnt keep it in inventory, so i had to order it. but one nice thing is that if you have to "make" your own adapter out of seperate peices you can just find and fit them together.

People tend to seem mad when the have responsibilities or jobs like this. and the word is strict spudfarm.

I think it would work very well . a balloon can hold more than 1 psi, but your chamber wouldn't have enough volume to fill it. instead of epoxying the ping pong ball on you could drill a hole in it and screw it to the grenade with a 1/4 nipple. id like to see this design in action.

They make it sound like its not dangerous, wich might not be a bad thing.

If your making a sniper-rifle then i would use a piston valve, if youve been going trough the forum for a few hours than you should no what this is. they have much higher flow than a sprinkeler solinode valve and can handle higher pressures.
