Well, after translating for about 5 minutes, I've managed to figure out how he built the piston. Looks like he took a pipe cap that fits just inside the Tee he's using, he then super glued a tire patch to the end of it to make a gasket and glued the spring to the back of the cap. Hope that helps a b...

Thanks for the info. I'm still building my first pneumatic, so I'm still new in that respect. Still, it should work better than a sprinkler valve, and cheaper too. I picked up a RainBird for about $40 Canadian, but I think I could put this together for less than $20.

This was approved for direct fire at D-Day? Holy crap, kudos man, kudos. I've always wanted to go to D-Day, but it's half way across the continent for me. I'll make it there someday, probably after I build my King Tiger tank.

Homemade QEV

Seen this interesting vid on YouTube, might just give this a shot to see how well works. Anyone else made a setup like this before? I know, the vid is in french, but lucky for me it happens to be my first language. I might...

i might be stupid... but whats a shoot house? It's kind of like a pillbox, but looks more like a shack than a fortified structure. Hey Hubb, you mentioned wanting to have 2 pill boxes on either end of your field to use as bases, a shoot shack in the middle would make for some interesting firefights...

Hovers between $1.38 and $1.42/L in North-Eastern Ontario, but I've seen it go as high as $1.51/L

Any Northern Ontario Spudders?

Just checking what the spudding community is like in my local area. If you live in Northern Ontario, post here and we might be able to set up a shoot sometime.

I live in Kirkland Lake, if any local spudders were wondering.

I've been toying with an idea for a paintball tank round, and not the grape shot in a sabot style, I'm talking a paint filled slug. I've come up with two options for the outer shell; One would be formed from soft rubber or latex, moulded into a slug shape, then filled with paint. It would involve ma...

Shoot through bunkers, huh? Best idea I can come up with is to build a parapet, or a wall with murder holes. One field I've seen had old 50 gal. oil drums, cut in half with a shooting slit about 3/4 up the side. Looks kind of like a stationary blast shield. You'd have to bolt some support brackets t...

From what I've read, flamethrowers used in paintball are little more than backpack style water guns filled with paint. You might get 50' out of one if that, which would be good for wiping out players who get too close to your tank, but not very effective on targets that could hit you from +50'. I'd ...

Foxholes are good, and as long as you're digging, why not some trenches? Might be good if you're planning on making it a woodsball field, but it might be a bit small for scenario play.

Just built my first pneumatic cannon, but my sprinkler valve honks. Actually it's really loud, like an air horn. I'm using a RainBird valve with 3/4" fittings, I kept the solenoid on which I activate using a couple of 9V batteries and a momentary switch/button. I've heard you can mod those valves to...
