You're kinda all over the place there. If you're going for metered propane, the only true way of precisely dumping propane into your chamber, then why put that nifty little bernzomatic torch head inside the chamber?

You could add a coupler with no problem. Generally speaking if your gun is working at 40 you're not going to get any more from a higher psi. Propane has a very narrow window of functionality. in other words figure out what your exact psi requirement is at maximum firing ability and stick with it.

Sounds like your "chamber" in this case the round, is going to be very small so you're only talking about a few yards (25 or less) of range. Generally I don't like making guns that can't shoot further than I can throw the projectile. Plus the expense would be astronomical and each mortar round...

Wow, nice! To help with your barrels accuracy you should switch to light weight metal conduit. You can get it at home depot and it's really cheap. Pretty easy to adapt to PVC fittings with some epoxy. Very nice overall!

I would, you want to be a little higher psi than that or you have a problem with getting a consistent amount in my experience. I don't know anyone that uses less than 50. Then again perhaps try it. If it doesn't work well you can always rebuild it. as long as you're safe this hobby is very forgiving.

Sounds good to me. My gun is about 65 psi. I was actually shooting for 60, but realistically getting the meter calculation to be that accurate is near impossible. You will be better off shooting for a range between 50ish and 75ish. And don't surprised if you don't hit it the first time!

A propane cylinder can meter to 90-100 psi give or take. Usually people will tell you 90 psi. While true the problem is if you make your meter built for 90 psi and you go out on a cold day and can only get 75 psi you may have to get creative with your metering. If you regulate down to 60ish you will...

If it's not marked it's not worth the risk. That stuff looks really thin. I have never seen pressure rated tubing that was not marked. On the other hand I have seen non-pressure rated stuff that isn't mark. So odds are against you. Is it worth the gamble? Pressure rated PVC is so damn cheap.

lol Good on you! Check out this website before you go to the store so you can get the exact measurement of what sized meter you will need. Trust us, this will all be worth it in the end! http://www.burntlatke.com/ft_live.html EDIT: Also pick up one of these: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productI...

Not to mention your "meter" isn't a meter at all. Basically all you have here is a giant cluster@#$ of tubing that's stopped by a single ball valve. Who knows how accurate your propane dump will be at any given time. Honestly it's basically a glorified spray and pray. You need to have a fixed and kn...

ehhh that should be fine. Any type of electronic device usually operates within a range when it comes to voltage. For instance an iPod may run anywhere between 4 volts and 1.5 volts and still operate. 10.5-11 volts should pose no problem for either your fan or stungun.

Definitely do not dick with the default gap [/u]. The manufacturer put it there to protect the guts of the stun gun. If you widen the default gap, and then have a problem with your igntion gap(s), you'll cook your stun gun. You may have blown out your stungun, I'm not saying its impossible, but tru...

Ok I'm glad you're open to suggestions. Ditch the pop bottle stuff all together, it's bad practice and quite honestly ball valves are much easier to use for the purpose of chamber venting and cheap to acquire. Never drill a huge hole like you have through a fitting such as a reducer. Use pressure ra...

Welcome to Spudfiles! It's a good start. I like the look of the gun. Generally over under designs are harder to get right and it looks like this gun functions very well! There are a few potential safety concerns. First This: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/files/dsc04174_713.jpg It is obvious that t...
