As mentioned above a QEV would be better and more cost effective than a metal sprinkler.

But if you really want an inline valve...I happen to have a 2" plastic sprinkler valve laying around from an old golfball launcher that I need to sell

I'm sure hot glue would work seeing as many people have made pistons entirely from hot glue. I recently made one and its doing quite well under all the stress of ~200PSI.
