Re: Track pumps and Co2 inflators

If it were me, I'd go with an HPA tank, either a SCUBA tank or a large paintball air tank. That's the problem with pneumatics and even higher mix hybrids: you gotta get an air supply out to your shooting area. I use low mix hybrids and a regular bike pump. In your situation I'd go with HPA because I...

Re: Build Log: MFIC

Welcome back. That's a hell of a story. I hope to see a build from you soon. I fell away from this hobby for a long time too, but then the bug bit me and I got back into it, although my last project wasn't as YUGE as this thing you made, lol. That was a hilariously huge canon!

Re: Butterfly Valve- How to Quickly Open

I found a video of one that uses a cylinder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y1H8bYAehs I'm thinking just yanking it open might be fine as well. I think it might depend on the size of the cannon? I'm not too sure. I seem to remember reading that you can't hit the pumpkin too hard or it will break. ...

Re: Pressure rating for Coaxial cannons

Yes. I assume he's cutting holes in the front and back for the barrel to slide through, but I'm not sure if that's what he meant.

Re: Pressure rating for Coaxial cannons

What do you mean by buying an air tank and punching holes through it? Making a PVC cannon this large makes me especially uncomfortable.

Re: Large hybrid

Good to see you back here. I'm pretty sure Larda still holds the record for the most extreme hybrid, barring the circus man-caliber sized cannon VERA of course. No way anyone passes VERA in the energy category without some serious resources and permits and all kinds of crap. It's a 2X hybrid the siz...

Re: Pressure rating for Coaxial cannons

See link with external pressure ratings for PVC. They call it "critical collapse" pressure ratings. You can compare the critical collapse rating with the internal pressure rating. Critical collapse ratings: https://www.usplastic.com/knowledgebase/article.aspx?contentkey=777 Compare those figures to ...

Re: Caselman air machinegun

Legit full auto rather than a constant airflow with a tube stuck in the middle of a container full of BBs. Thanks! The quest for efficiency compared to vortex/cloud BBMGs never really went away :) I was really surprised when I saw that thing clacking away. That shit was impressive. I've never seen ...

I missed this before. This gun is awesome. Legit full auto rather than a constant airflow with a tube stuck in the middle of a container full of BBs.

Re: Spring powered Nerf blaster

Nice! My Ceda does around 130fps if I recall. Did you check the piston for lubrication? Sometimes they come totally DRY from the factory. Some lithium grease or silicon grease can help. Mine was actually lubricated but I added some extra.

Re: Victorian "Air Cane" brought back to life

Those numbers are looking pretty crazy! That's around adult-class pellet gun velocity, but you aren't shooting pellets. You're shooting .3 caliber lead balls, lol. Safe to say the air cane works well now.
