If you live in the US, I think it is illegal to have a silencer for anything. In Ohio you can be arrested if you have a silencer on a rubber band and you are flinging bits of paper. Just say it is a barrel extenson

common sense goes in cycles. One day man will relearn fire is hot by sticking his hand in, than he won't do it again.

I would make like a metal "sleve" if you will, which contains the actual gun, yet is able to be placed in a marker forpure coolness factor.

Thanks for the info! I think I will keep looking for the right size compression spring, maybe I can trim one. seems like a hassle if you don't have acess to a lathe.

The chamber will be pretty small, and is meant to lose all it air after each shot, than refill. I am making it fully maintanible. If I am not impreesed with the performance, I can tweak and experiment. BTW, I can't find a spring the size I need, any idea how to make them??? :?:

thanks for the word of warning JSR, but I really want to see how this type of valve will work. What is a QEV style piston (maybe I will build that) is it a normal T piston valve?

I say neither. Go for a Evil Detonator. It only costs like $14 and is less then $20 with shipping. It is probably the best reg I have used, and the only one I will take on the field. It gose from 100 psi to 550 psi. if you want lower than 100psi, set the reg as low as it will go, take a trip to harb...

I do not want a commercial valve because they are not redily available in my area. also I enjoy making the valves. I am goint to use the second T in the pic with a length of pipe glued in as the mag. it will hold 12 or 24 shots (haven't decided yet) it will employ a shotgun spring glued to a washer ...
