i fly rc planes and i am sure a glow plug would easily work, however to obtain the best results ( this technique is used in rc jet turbies) take the glow fiament and pull it out of the plug so it is still connected, but is streched out.

sounds great, but you dont really need a braking system, because you can just tie a loop at the end of the ribbon, and loop it onto one of the pegs, that way, when the string runs out the barrel will spin to a stop, and you can just turn the motor off (btw, id be happy to take some of those drill mo...

lol, it would be cool if you could rig a "top gun" style flip up switch- one for a saftey, and 1 as a trigger

sounds like a good design, for th barrel I cut plywood into circles, and glued them together untill I had a cylender about 8 inches long, then, I drilled 8 holes for 1" poplar dowels to use for the individual barrels, after gluing them in , I cut more circles, and drilled them with the same hole pat...

about 35-40, however, I do not reccommend loading that many, cause it takes forever, and puts lots ofstrain on the gun, I usually only load 500 rubberbands, which wil give you a good 10 seconds of firing time

Right now, im stiching a video together in adobe premire elements, these things take awhile to video tape, because it takes about 1 hour to load 1500 rubberbands

I ripped it from the video im trying to upload right now, but im having trouble uploading it, if you dont believe that thats real, I suggest that you seach youtube, and google, and try to fingd a video with that in it.
