thanks for all the info, but i have been wary of hybrids because i have heard the statement "if you mess up with a combustion, youre out $20, if you mes up with a pneumatic, youre out $100, If you mess up with a hybrid...youre dead." however, i have considered eventually building one.

Recently, I designed and built this, a rubber band minigun (Gatling) that has the power to cut cardboard. It holds up to 2000 rubberbands, and fires at 50 rubberbands per second. The only way to describe it is fu*#in awesome.

Hmmm......Im wondering if I should try helium as well, ive heard that if you use helium , its easier to go supersonic. Is there any truth to that? Also, if I build a larger piston valve with 3.5 porting or so, would i gain a significant amount of power. Sorry for the "n00b" question, but Im relativl...

It has a 10' long tennis ball barrel (2.5") and two 4"x 5' air tanks, the valve is a SGTC supah+ valve (this is my 1st gun, so i didnt want to build my own piston), and the SGTC muzzel velocity calculator estimated it at 1400 fps with a ten...

How many of you have sent something supersonic out of a pneumatic spudgun using only compressed AIR? If you think its not possible, or if you do... I want to hear your opinons.

i just got 10' of pressure rated sch 40 2.5" pipe and it is true that a regular tennis ball is a tight fit, but then I tried using a brand of tennis balls made for dogs called hyperdog, which seem to be slightly smaller than a regular ball, and they fit beautifully (there were NO holes in the ball) ...

where are you planning to hold this spud off? cause i wanna come (if its okay with my parents)
