that's not a threaded barrel... its just knurled...

my phantom had that, so I cut and re crowned it.

also, good luck suppressing that, most of the noise from spring guns comes from the piston and spring,

I know how you could lock it on,

on the magazine, on an area that would slip into the "mag well", put a bolt in, and in the "mag well" carve a groove, that turns to a 90 degree angle, so you align the bolt with the groove, slide it in, then rotate it to lock it in.

One concern I have is th angle of the barb to the shaft, it is fairly large and i am scared it may recuse penetration, remember these will be fired from about 1meter, and no more, and underwater. I will try another kind of barb and will post it if it works. The sling will also be made better, this ...

Yes, I will not leave for good, but I wanted to make sure that I said a proper goodbye just in case I never got back into it, I will very likely post things again from time to time. I just needed to make sure that I got a chance to thank everyone before I'm forgotten in the realm of the old members ...

Funny thing, looking through that to the final ones, my new Crosman 2289 looks remarkably similar

Leaving or staying you still can't post a animal link like that!

Goodbye everyone

Well, I have been here a little while, learned many things, met many people and had lots of fun. I have almost completely stopped visiting the site, I have been getting more into performance pellet guns, and this is just not my cup of tea any longer. Just wanted to thank everyone who taught me so mu...

Yes, but that doesn't mean they can't be very, very, very good.
I am well aware of that, I got good enough to hit a penny consistently from 60', I'm sure there are better shot records, but hell that's good for me

This is why I'm buying a multi-pump :D I'm sure there's some vibration, but certainly less than a springer, as the recoil is extremely low. It took me a long time to find how to shoot a springer accurately, because the recoil is the exact opposite of any other weapon I have ever fired. @ inonickname...

Conical burst discs?

Hey everyone, been a while since I posted anything here, (been over at The Canadian airgun forums) But here's a little something I was wondering about, I was watching future weapons, an old rerun of the shape charge episode. And just for ...

Go ahead if you're really really REALLY set on it, and you're totally convinced that it's the right thing... but I'm fairly confident that you'll be disappointed in the end. Agreed, my brother undertook a project like this, with cpvc, but instead of a spring, he used a long pipe and bungee cable, I...

Just a small thing, It looks F'ing AMAZING just pointing that out, but you should find a way to lower that barrel support, its putting the whole alignment of the gun off...

Took the liberty of photo shopping it to show the difference, hopefully it can convince you to consider it ;)

Good luck, all I have to say.

Its possible, but with just plastic you will end up with a POS gun.

I would imagine it would be near impossible to do unless you had decent metalworking skills, and experience making air rifles.

I would normally say dwv is reasonably safe, when in ABS form, but I can not be OK with DWV PVC, something not rated WITH a very violent failure method is not good for anyone...

Only reason I use DWV ABS is because I know that if god forbid... it fails, it will likely not cause my shredded death.
