ok! so i discharged the extinguisher and filled it to the top with water and then put 150 psi presssure on it and left it overnight
no pressure drop or leaks
since i will not use it at higher pressure then 100 psi, i would consider it safe

what to do with an old fire extinguisher

i bought a 9.5 liter water fire extinguisher it is still sealed it is proof tested to 500 psi the gauge is at 150 psi, it sais "overfilled" (90-110 is the green zone) the sticker on it sais it was last inspected in 1988( :shock: ) so is it still safe to handle, and if so, what could i use it for? i ...

i tested my pneumatic pellet pistol with a 800 psi tire inflator, and the trigger pull was aboutas hard as my benjamin discovery (3.5 lbs)
