I knew that the panel can't provide much current. Are you sugesting that the panels charge the batteries and then the batteries charge devices?

Haha I like the idea of it but don't have the patience to deal with designing it. The design could be made simpler by using PC fans and propane metering.

They will fit in 2" Scedule 40 PVC, I would imagine that they would also fit in 2" copper if you have that. The whole caulk tube also makes excellent ammo because when empty they are slightly front heavy so they fly without tumbling. The wind does have quite the effect on them though.

As long as you can get a single flare to form in the steel pipe it should work fine. Compression fitting should also work, contrary to a previous comment compression fitting can handle braking system pressures and would be fine at 500psi.
