Besides looks, the barrel is offset to allow for a mixing tube to run parallel with the barrel inside the chamber You would subtract the volume of the barrel, because the barrel is taking up that space that gas/air is not in ehh.... it varies depending on who you ask. usually between .75:1 and 1.1:1

no. if your drawing is to scale, your going to have a pretty lame shot unless you use high pressures, because the chamber is pretty small. also keep in mind that your shots get progressivly weaker, as your main chamber pressure decreases. then there is the matter of the valve. do you have a 4 way va...

Personally, I think it's a great safety video. Learn from other's mistakes. Actually, I disagree. He didn't seem very injured, as it was a low powered cannon, and it might convince someone that it was a safe idea. If the kids were shooting a bigger gun, or different ammo, the video could have had a...

i agree with jhalek, but another option if you need a longer barrel, is to go to your local airsoft shop, usually when someone buys a tightbore barrel upgrade, the store keeps the stock barrel around, for a "just in case" they're not usually expensive and are usually pretty decent quality.

something i did to make my piston servicable was make use 2 triangularish plates with 3 threaded rods connecting them, to hold the back cap on. the front plate centered on the barrel, and the back plate was more or less centered by the front plate. check it out unfortunetly, it would raise the price...

the bolt and the washer stop the sealing surface from being blown out the chamber, because the force going around it and out the barrel will usually rip it off after a few shots one thing i saw once was someone cut pieces of pipe to make a square around the barrel, which was also slightly smaller th...

Supressor Question

I was thinking of making a suppressor for my GB gun. In a perfect world, i would be nice for it to be completely silent. my thinking on suppressor volume is that it has to equal the expanded volume of my chamber. for example (to keep the math nice), if i filled my chamber to 150psi (~10x atmospheric...

i use a co2 tank>remote line (tank is back mounted for airsoft)>regulator> paintball thread to NTP adaptor>quick connect> chamber. i get alot of shots, and my field also has paintball, so i get all day co2 for $10. itts also the most portable system (or swap the tank for an HPA one) unfortunetly, th...

theres this thing called an air amplifier. its basically a big venturi. the 2" ones from exair get about the right "air it:air out" ratio when propane is used in place of compressed air. unfortunetly, ones in this size are worth about 200 dollars. while expensive, it could fill a fairly large chambe...

unless it breaks one of the rules, you should make the toast as toasted as possible, even if it is burnt, because that should eliminate most of the crumple factor
