I've used black iron to build a (small-bore) gun.

I've been taking it to 150 psi for several years now (probably amounting to several thousand shots), and it hasn't shown any sign of wear.

Well, thankfully nothing happened in Hawaii, but it woulda been alot less aggravating if somehting had actually happened. Messed up alot of stuff though, a few gas stations are out of gas, a bunch of stores are out of spam :( and wrestling states got posponed for those of you non-hawaii people, spa...

I once threw a card into a log...

I'm sure it was pure luck, but it makes for an interesting story.

Umm no. A co2 cetup is much better than wasting money on a 12 volt compressor. Those cheap little toys(yes they are basically toys) will burn out within a few weeks. And also his valve is fine for what he does with his cannon. But wouldn't the use of CO2 in a PVC gun cause the PVC to become brittle?

A friend of mine made something similar to this...he called it the Power Stick.

I would say your working pressure depends on the schrader valve. I've had them blow out at 200 psi (but that's probably because I bought the cheap ones).

I've fired ice rounds from a pneumatic before on several occasions, but never less than a 1" bore. I've fired them from a 1/2 inch bore. My methods for creating these ice bullets certainly weren't the best: I basically just made them in a small pipe and shaped them with my hands afterwards. This as...

As far as the slingshot: NICE!!! I can't see any practicality in it, but it must make a great showpiece.

For my 1/2 inch gun, I attached two fishing sinkers together by a short section of chain. Great for ripping apart electronics at high pressures.
