Haha. Isn't that what every airgunner secretly desires? To get ice burns on their arm from flying air cartridges? :D Speaking of which; are those cartridges cold when they're spent?

Check the shoulders on the screws that hold the cogs, maybe there is some wear there that is causing some looseness. If that is the case you can get shim stock (.001 thickness) and wrap the screw shoulder to tighten things up. You said some 'pegs' were bent, that could cause the worm gear to mesh l...
