I'm going to try to get my hands on thin steel wire. My biggest problem right now is that the length of wire from the spool to the round inside the barrel is resulting in WAY too much slack. It tugs the wire way too hard, which snaps it.

Hi all, I recently built an arm mounted spud gun. It has an interchangeable barrel. One barrel is for shooting projectiles, the other is a nozzle for firing water out of the cannon.

Well designed and built cannon....looks.... heavy for its size. The barrel looks smaller than 1.5"....1" looks closer.

well if you are just firing pingpong balls, you can shorten the barrel to about 1', and greatly reduce the air used, without hurting your performance in the least. The only reason you would need a barrel that long is if you start using heavier projectiles, which could cause a problem, if mounted ...
