It's not corroded, just some of the red coating has chipped off. But other than that it's fine. (I don't think aluminum will rust anyway.)

And 300 PSI sounds a little low. That's why i don't think that it's MAX pressure. I would believe more around 500ish. But 300 is just fine for me :)

Fire Extinguisher gun help

Hi i was in the woods today (Fishing) and i found a fire extinguisher! It's a KIDDE 3 LB dry chemical fire extinguisher, without the valve/trigger/fill(?) assembly on top. It's just the aluminium canister with a threaded top. I am thinking about making a crazy all metal gun out of this. It's rated f...

And it IS seamed pipe. But it should still hold a lot.

It seems to me i have to buy a threaded valve ( i guess the kind for an air-compressor quick connect)?)

because a schrader valve apparently fails at 70 psi, anyway.

And also, a "bike" valve is a schrader valve coated in rubber, which i burned off. So i have a brass schrader valve, but it's not threaded. I was needing to know how i could seal it.

(steel pipe + brass fittings? ) I don't know if you can weld/solder that. . .

You do realize black "iron" is steel pipe with a black finish, right?

"STANDARD GALVANIZED STEEL PIPE
# A-53-A Schedule 40
# Steam to 600 PSI,
# Water, air, oil to 720 PSI
# -20 to 400 Deg F "

720 PSI. A little bit higher than 150 :)

Damn, I think i hurt myself on this one. I originally left the flow regulator like normal. With a microscopic hole on it. But i thought it wasn't getting enough fuel, So i drilled out the hole to about 1/4 in.

Stupid me :(

Problems with homemade propane system

I had a basic combustion launcher with 4" chamber to 4"-2" reducer then a 2" barrel with clean out cap on the end. Used a BBQ sparker for ignition. This was getting a little "old" so i decided to add a PROPANE system to it :) I took an old "Mini" camping grill and removed the brass propane fittings ...

Would it be possible to wire a BBQ sparker to a small Spark plug, the kind off a lawn mower, etc. I always have problems getting my propane to ignite, I think it's the shit ignition i have.

Or better yet, is it possible to wire a Stun gun to a spark plug?
