I made one similar but with a 2 liter bottle. I took a 2 liter, epoxied a 1.5" ID schd. 40 PVC pipe (4 foot) as a barrel & melted a hole in the very bottom of the coke bottle using a grill lighter in one of the "feet" of the 2 liter.

I think it can work, but with cylindrical slugs, as I see the advancing pellet's skirt catching on the head of the next one in line.

Well, update I guess.

I cut the leads & stripped back the last inch of wire for each lead.

I attached them to the blunt ends of two finishing nails, soldered them & put a few tightly wrapped layers of electrical tape for insulation between the leads & the canister/chamber.

Coffee creamer granules have alot of surface area for their size, relative to similar grains. Very good burn rate.

Well, since I am lacking matches (LOL) I tried airing it out, putting the wadding back in & using a syringe (1sp -5mL) to meter butane, it still didn't work.

I injected the butane, capped it immediately, & tried to fire. Nothing.

Tried rotating the cannon, didn't fire. Tried everything else under ...

Thinking maybe the spark isn't "hot" enough? Dunno, but my cannon won't ignite.
