Ive got one. Chicken wire is not a good choice. They like to lean against the sides of their enclosure and will get cut up. The way I have mine set up is a 40 breeder for now. I run a 65 watt light in a hanging dome on one side. I have a 40 watt in a dome on top of the screen on the other. My UVB bu...

Thanks, I didn't realize that software has a manual mode. Did you ever get your sentry gun working?

Remote Control Paintball Gun

Lately Ive been designing a remote control paintball gun. The idea is to take a paintball gun and mount it to three servos, up and down, left to right, and fire. Its just a basic, semi auto CO2 paintball gun. The mechanics should be fairly simple, a base with a webcam, and three servos. The only pro...

I was a member, but didn't log on do often due to the lack of new threads. Any chance of opening up the off topic section a bit more so we have more than one thread. No to turn it into a forum for like a 100 random topics about Call of Duty, but maybe like a single topic for a single hobby. Just to ...

I may have to find a file and try this. Did you use a belt grinder on this?

Exactly, but without the magic powder, it could possibly work as a hybrid but the weight of the chamber would limit power.

But if I remember correctly, those fire a separate projectile and eject the cartridge, but then again, I havent read the whole thread.

Semi Auto Combustion

Ive been playing around with the idea of a combustion where the rounds hold the 1x mix and they get fed into the barrel from a mag. As they fall down, they come in contact with two electrodes. The trigger is pulled, the burst disk ruptures, and propels the chamber forward. The biggest problem I for ...

Jsr, arent those only rated to like 3 psi? What's going to fail? They're pretty simple, especially the QEV. Anything made of metal like that should be able to take a few hundred PSI and the piston shouldn't fail, even if it does it's not the end of the world. Is it metal though, looks a bit like pl...

Nice looking knife, what do you use to heat treat them? Do you have a belt grinder?
