I should also say that whilst they are not modelled the is an extension spring between the bolt and pison and an end cap on the left with a damper ...

I should have the pro/e models done either tonight or tommorow - i've found a 2" high pressure PVC TEE that should do nicely and some 2" - 1.5" reducing bushes so that would leave a cavity where the 1.5" piston seals...

Anyway I will post when they are ready - right now I'm being forced into bloody ...

Nah it's easy enough to do...just has to be tuned properly...i like the idea of non contact braking just because its funky tech but i think its massive overkill tbh

I was thinking more along the lines of having the non barrel end of the piston housing effectively open to atmosphere and allowing the piston free travel down the housing as it opens until the gap is fully cleared, then having a spring - damper system to absorb the energy which would stop any kick ...

Make the QEVs? I would have no idea but i guess about £3-4 would cover the production cost

Nominal sizes came about to give you different groups of pipe, the actual values are based around the nominal diameter but vary to keep other aspects of the pipe (throughput/strength etc) either constant within the group or nice round numbers...

That said, what they choose to keep constant mainly ...
