It's good to see you Gippeto!
Why didn't you try Fusion 360? I heard so much about it (seems almost everyone is using it for modeling and CAM)
I was really hoping to step into real 3D milling instead of 2D and half with the Carvera. I also got the 4th axis too.
Seems a few broken bits and ruined ...

I bought a CNC...Again
Years ago I bought a 6040 CNC router and while it did work, it did not impress me at all with the accuracy and capabilities. Nowadays with the online CNC services and ease of 3D printing I did not want to step into this messy world of automated machining again.

Re: Modern Full auto PCPs
Oh so Huben uses a fixed magazine? So much for pellet chambering depth and such. 2k dollars for a plinker lol
Came across your full auto blow back 4.5bb gun on GTA, I suppose that can be refined into a selective fire version with a more complex trigger group. What's the power you were getting? And ...

Re: Modern Full auto PCPs
Figured so! I found some animations for the Huben but I'm sure you have a better understanding of it than me? The Huben seems to not have a bolt nor nozzle? Just oring seal on both sides of the mag?

Modern Full auto PCPs
Been a while since I was into PCPs, now I see things like selective fire PCPs shooting pellets instead of just 4.5mm steel BBs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBvs8Wvu0yg
Is this just iterations of the Huben full auto PCP? Hows the main mechanism work?

Re: Benjamin Model 30/30 CO2 Carbine Repeater "Hot Shot"
I pop up once a while for inspiration.
My most recent experiment was adding hop up to a BBMG and it does work. The hop up was also added to the tip of the barrel instead of the breech.

Re: Counter balanced hammer valve issue
The bleeding will not be possible in my case, I don't have the space for that.
Must say I'm stunt with this. I removed the return spring and the balanced valve would still close and no power increase at all. In fact I'm getting half the power compared to the normal valve

Counter balanced hammer valve issue
Untitled.png So I built a fairly well made counter balanced valve.
Exhaust 7mm diameter with 9mm piston. Then I compared it to a conventional hammer valve with 6mm exhaust diameter and a shaft of 4mm.
Turns out the balanced valve was weaker. My hypothesis is once the valve is cracked open, the ...

Re: Valve jam with liquid gas
So I did more testing, the exhaust is too small and gas in liquid form does not flow and pilot the valve properly.
But even if I fill it will gas in gas form, the piston get stiff after not many uses, the o-ring gets really dry. Any suggestion for o-ring material? Or I should used two o-rings so ...

Re: Valve jam with liquid gas
No, with air is fine. However I'm just trying to learn the reason of it, plus I was hoping to use the launcher quite mobile, the portability of a propane can is interesting.

Re: Valve jam with liquid gas
So I started with a coaxial piston launcher with plans to use solenoid to trigger it. However if I fill it with propane in gas form (filling with bottle pointing upwards) it kinda makes a decent Bang. Then I filled it with the propane bottle upside down so the liquid can get in expecting more power ...

Valve jam with liquid gas
So I have been toying around the idea of using propane with solenoid valves and piston valves. However the valve jams every few shoots. The o-rings on the piston are free float and seals fine, but the piston opens very slowly, as if the o-rings are swollen.
