I got a (IMO very cool) 3/2 solenoid from ebay for very cheap, and although I already did some researches and reading, I still got a few questions.

As you can see in the diagram on it, it is a indirect acting, normally open valve, with 3/8 female ports, rated to 10bar and 2500 l/min flow-rate ...

The problem with your solution is that the dual piston mixing relies on the fuel being at atmospheric pressure, but it's stored at higher pressure in the reservoir.
Yeah, I thought of that issue (pressure in the fuel-reservoir aka lighter), but I don't understand why this would only be a problem ...

Is the thin plastic pneumatic-tube/hose going to your air-cylinder enough flow-restriction or did you additionally slowed down the cylinder with a extra-valve in that line?

I even thought about using a o-ringed-bolt for the valve AND the loading mech. ...in fact that looks very similar to yours, only thing I have the seals on the bolt ...

Aside from the off-topic and the mass of different diagrams of different valve's, I understood you in that way, that you are looking for a valve that:

-is just out of one unit (so no qev or other piloted ones.)
-will have enough flow/speed for small projectiles
-is capable of semi-auto-action ...
