Not to be rude, but I'm kinda surprised that you don't seem to know much about BB guns considering you have built air cannons before. There are quite a few similarities and there is a lot of info in the different threads here.

Do you realize that I was only making an example? Enough flaming, its just a point. I know I can't propel a airsoft bb 500m, and it would need a huge cannon to do it, plus an amount of money that I don't have. quick question on barrels, for metal bbs and airsoft. metal bbs are .177 of an inch, closest normal american unit is about 6/32 which is .1875, is that close enough? i know a tight bore airsoft barrel is like .03 of a mm bigger then the bb which is like .00012 of an inch, seems like a big gap to me ...
