Re: Airsoft gbb floating valve question

Ok, it's not a very good explanation, but I'll take it. I thought you'd know more about it since you work on the we system. Edit So the common explanation is wrong, the floating valve starts closing as soon as the hammer valve is struck, and closes completely by the time the bb leaves the barrel, at...

Re: Airsoft gbb floating valve question

what? how do you get high pressure from gas rushing in? Moving gas is low pressure, and the moving gas is what closes the valve?

Re: Airsoft gbb floating valve question

wait, it doesn't matter how great the pressure is, the gas is coming in through the floating valve into the barrel. For the gas to flow, there must be a difference in pressure, higher at the valve than the barrel.

Re: Airsoft gbb floating valve question

but I'm thinking the pressure between the bb and the floating valve is less than the pressure between the floating valve and the hammer. As the bb travels down the barrel, the volume between the bb and the floating valve increases and there is a pressure difference.

Airsoft gbb floating valve question

I was reading the principle of gas blow back article on red wolf. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ReviewDetail?reviewID=199 I understand all of it except for one part. http://img3.redwolfairsoft.com/upload/review/199/L-MARUI-GBB-ILL1.jpg http://img3.redwolfairsoft.com/upload/review/199...

so like a gas system on a real firearm? That might work. But I'm not sure about the consistency of such a system

Ok, so an electric 3 way by itself should be about the same as a electric 3 way+QEV?

What difference does electric or manual make?

Also, wouldn't 3 way+chamber be the same as 3 way+qev?

Huh? Not sure what you mean by that. Are you saying that the hammer valve will account for lower pressure as you slowly run out of air?

But if we are talking about a regulated supply like a hpa tank wouldn't other valve be better?

but then you'd have to deal with the trigger group and all that.

Are you planning to rip out the trigger group and use a new valve and trigger?

Are you planning to tap the mag well and put a hammer valve where the old magazine hammer valve goes? Then run a HPA line to that hammer valve?

wait, I have been searching everywhere trying to figure out how airsoft gbbs work. Send me some diagrams as well Zeus by the way Gun Freal so a hammer valve would be my choice I thought hammer valve were not that consistent. I always thought that a 3 way with a chamber is more consistent. Or a solen...

Wait, how are you planning to convert from green gas to hpa without taping the magazine?

Again though, this being an AEG, it's going to sound like a sewing machine no matter what you hang off the muzzle... So true. I have seem people put more than 1k into their aeg upgrading mosfet, gears and what not and when I fired it, it sounded like a cheap toy, even though the external is beefed ...
