The bb gun im building atm uses the same system as brians. A bolt (mines a pnuematic piston) closes off the mag tube and pushes the bb just past a second tee where air is fed in. I use a mag that is inline to the barrel though for space reasons. Works the same as a sprung tmag

Does that mean i will need 2 power sources to power that solenoid and the timer, Or just one? And will the input voltage need to be 24v? I havent got the timer/heard from zues so i dont know alot about it.

Fml, Air flows from A-R, when activated A-P. So it wont port my qev. Damn it :(

Hope you havent made that timer yet zues, Gotta find another valve and it may or may not be 24v.

Wyz, have you come accross any solinoid valves that wil fill from A-R, then port from R-P ?

It needs to fill and port the qev. It has 3 threads in it marked A-P-R.
What stops it from filling and porting? I figure you have had plenty of expierence with 3ways (not a innuendo)

That does not sound good :shock: The 555 timer is being built around the 24v this valve requires. So if it dosent work im going to have a real bad time.

Finially a proper update, with some pics

Mostly finished the barrel and mag. Decided to go along the top of the barrel instead of a T due to lack of space. gotta do some cleanup and slot the mag tube. A keychain retracter is going to be used to pull the bbs though the tube. Because im using metal ...

Worked on the magizine tube, feeds bb well but I think I'll need to use a detent. Sometimes when the next Bb feeds into the barrel it will roll, causing the next round to chamber resulting in double feeds, so I figure if I put a detent just ...

Shells not cheap. 40$ aud + post for it. All that was in it was some leds and a rumble motor. Its going to have a much better home as an air soft/ Bob gun. It will also be a nice display item when I'm done with it

Just a quick update, the body for this build arrived, started work on the barrel, length is not finial and just have one coat of paint to see how it looks, got to clean up where it joins into the body. fake plastic scope on it just for lols. the attachments for the body wont show up for about 4 weeks

Zues, I will probly get u to make another later when I start another build, for the same reason (solenoid striking a hammer)

Safety is a big one, would like to have a working safety switch so the gun can't be accidentally discharged.

And those diagrams make no sense to me

this is the valve, says dc. it was the only one i could find that was solinoid 3way, two position that used 1/4 fittings. Otherwise i would have just gone with a 12v

I'm just going to chuck in a 7805 and use a 5V relay for the solenoid, I could use a 3055 too, see how it pans out.
