Re: Anybody in the UK help me with parts for a hybrid.
Thanks for the link Jack
Today I've had somebody with a grinder remove the bit suggested. Just a slight ridge on a small part of it but I'll file that flat.
Am I right in thinking the union fitting 'sandwich' goes in this order:
Chamber side -----|rubber washer, burst disk(s)|-------- barrel side ...

Gone down a more popular avenue.
Just a quick mock up before thread sealing and fuelling pipe work.

Re: How-to: remote ignition
The doorbell I picked up uses 3 x AA batteries. The circuitry only uses 3v with the other 1.5 topping up power to the speaker.
Due to me already having the components, I opted for a 555 monostable 'one shot' circuit triggered by the speaker voltdrop. I'm powering the 555 circuitry from the 4.5v ...

Re: Camera flash ignition - my experience
The capacitor must match or rate higher than your spark gap.
Whilst the over powered circuit is pushing 500/600 volts, the cap is only getting to 200v (in my case) before the spark gap dumps it through the second coil.
I'm using 2 x 400v 0.1 micro farad in parallel to give 400/ 0.2 respectively ...

Camera flash ignition - my experience
Hello fellow crazy people.
I know there has been posts on camera flash ignitions but I would like to share my experience. As you can guess my circuit board looked nothing like the one in the very good 'how to' here. Credit for the inspiration.

Anybody in the UK help me with parts for a hybrid.
Hello to everybody at Spudfiles from the Midlands, England.
I have some questions regarding a hybrid I'm planning with my girlfriend. I've built 2 combustion launchers in the past but looking for something that is more of a challenge to build. Of course the increased power is also appealing ...
