Re: Pressure rating for Coaxial cannons

has anyone here tried a 10' muzzleloader? I whine about loading a 3'

Don't get me wrong, I love the elegance of the coaxial, but after I am finished my works-in-progress I think I will confine them to short barrel applications.

Re: Valve jam with liquid gas

propane doesn't behave with some rubbers; might be swelling the o-rings

When we switched from acetylene to propane at work we had some torch heads and regulators get fussy

Re: Exhaust value with decent trigger feel

lift off valve, sear release:)

Trigger feel as you design the trigger-sear geometry

Also saves on a blow gun ( I am extremely cheap)

Re: Browning Airstar 200

I love it, and the breech is interesting too. I have often wondered why the electric airsoft guns didn't use a sear. It would give the trigger a more realistic feel, completing the firing cycle rather than starting it, and would allow better reduction through the gears so a weaker motor could be use...

Re: is my valve good?

I agree, that is a pretty extreme choke. I have used 1/2" valve on 20mm barrel. Valve has less than half the flow of the barrel, still good for velocities around 499 fps at bicycle pump pressures with light projectiles. If you want a significant portion of the velocity available then more flow is ne...

Re: Canada prohibits spudguns over 20mm

"Also included are two new categories of firearms that exceed safe civilian use. These are characterized by the following physical attributes: a 20 mm bore or greater and the capacity to discharge a projectile with a muzzle energy greater than 10 000 joules " Since that refers to 2 new categories it...

Canada prohibits spudguns over 20mm

So it looks like my 20mmplus bores are now prohibited!!! What do I do... get them grandfathered and so non-transferable? Do I get a compensation for turning them in? All my pneumatics are firearms in Canada (over 500fps) and I think any combustion would be too (combustion = fire). Not happy with the...

Re: Question regarding spigot mortar style ammo.

I have been thinking about hollow spigot launchers more now... was it this thread that caused it or is it the Umarex Air Saber? For the arrow launchers do they not worry about the dead space? Maybe not since they are hunting-oriented. BTW fins don't need to be perfect especially on long projectiles....

I like your thinking. I fooled around with the dowel inside the hollow projectile idea too, but gave up because I am lazy.

Re: Nerf Launcher Valve/Design Question

I can't tell from the video but it could just be a linkage to a blowgun valve given the low performance, multi-shot capability, and apparent necessity to tap the trigger very briefly

Re: Low-friction/Specialty Ball Valves?

I've noticed that variability also. I wonder what that is? Deformation of the seal that creates a detente? Temperature? I play with the valves at the building center and notice that new ones are often very stiff. My 3/4" ball valve gun had a heavy hammer driven by bungees that easily overcame openin...
