do you mean cheaper than dirt? they have really cool stuff for cheap. (night vision is still expensive tho)

I don't really have any ideas to add, but if this works it would probably solve the question of how to make a pneumatic flour/ airsoft mine.

i made a .75" pneuamtic, and i decided to drill holes in the front of the barrel for looks; but it seemed to make it a tad quieter. then i saw one of those pad-things from a weightlifting set, the foam ones, and slid that over the barrel; helped a little. i stopped using it when i realized it was ...

does it jam at all?
is it easy to 'reload'?

it would probably shoot out sg-style all over the place and when it hit it would solidify, making an effective "destroy-it" ammo lol.

no.....I understand what you're saying, but it does stabilize it.... it's hard to explain. He's talking about spinning on its vertical axis not the horizontal.

i saw on mythbusters that water works well, but it would get extremely heavy. maybe have the armor slanted a little, so that the ammo would kind of have its momentum transefered in another direction, maybe? in that case, the strength of the armor wouldn't be so important.

i think it doesn't go far because the bbs in the chamber roll around and give it topspin; the pressure pushes them down. If you notice, the bbs DO hit with force, meaning nothing is wrong with the pressure.
