Re: Is the forum under attack by bots?
In a sense, yes. For a long time now we combat spam by manually reviewing new users posts until they seem trusted. That is getting harder to do as some lean on the edge of legitimate conversation. As this goes on, I feel that I have approved a few that are likely not actually people making ...

Re: SpudFiles pages taking a long time to load?
Agreed - this has been popping up a few times lately. First noticed it happening while doing some work around Christmas. It is due to user sessions not clearing as they should. Cleared it up for now but I suspect it will come back, have some TLC needing to be done!
Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Old link format redirect?
Really old broken links are a different kind of beast to tackle. But the wiki login needs to work, I see what is broken - apologies. Let me dig into the wiki a bit deeper.

Which side do we like the User Information on?
When viewing posts... the "default" is on the right, which is how it is right now. I had it on the left a few months ago, but did a software upgrade that moved it back to the right. There is a small amount of customization I must do to continue to keep it on the left and have that persist through ...

There have been some email delivery issues the past few days, which should now all be resolved. Let me know if any other troubles come up!

Alright guys, at a new host - still sorting a few small things out for transitioning server/settings/etc but our white pages seemed to have immediately disappeared!

Re: pages won't open
Honestly, my web hosts support on this matter has been awful. Here we are all this time later and I am still attempting to demonstrate the problem. Needless to say, PCGUY is not pleased. My hands are a bit tied. I did move SpudFiles to a less costly hosting package, the trade off was that I was no ...

mrfoo,
I'm honestly not entirely sure how you saw a limited version of the Recent Topics box that appears on the main homepage. I see you PMed me regarding the change as well. As of today we did just move servers (some of you may have noticed the forum unavailable for several hours this morning in ...

Re: Reputation system and the new layout
Excellent item to bring up! I received a PM about this too. One of the biggest pitfalls (in the past) with big upgrades to SpudFiles is that oftentimes the fun "spudbux" to "reputation" points vanish. These features are not native to the forum software, they were manually added in by me (and ...
