This is absolutely one of *the* most pimped out, badass cannons I have ever seen. Custom from one end to the other. I'm frikkin dumbstruck. Two awards for sure; one for the gun and a special award for sharing all the drawings and details. Very nice. Hmmm... I *do* know a guy with a machine shop. May...

My Well and Pump (and pool) supply place has the SDR-21 and the 2.5" tennis ball stuff. Local Plumbing supply had the rest... Some of the larger SCH 80 stuff was harder to find but it's out there in most towns... (US, Anyway)

I use 220 grit sandpaper and 000 steel wool. It shines up better than new. (I paint the body of my guns but I've quit painting barrels. They scuff up way too easy.)

Best luck I had was with a fat bolt with rubber seals on each end. Wish I had a good pic. Take a bolt, slide on in this order - metal washer (smaller than bore) - rubber washer (slightly bigger than bore) - metal washer (smaller than bore) - Pipe Nipple of appropriate length (wrap tape on bolt to ce...

Did this with a water filled Tennis ball and it worked pretty well. Still haven't had the nerve to turn a golf ball loose on our lake, I could sink someone!

I used a fat bolt with steel and rubber washers at each end and a pipe nipple for a spacer.

Got them all at Lowes. The ones I made weighed a pound and we put one of them right through a 22" monitor.

No pics but we made a video...

New (?) Slug ammo

I made a sort of slug ammo for blasting some monitors. It's just a bolt, a piece of pipe, some steel washers and a couple rubber washers. It seems to work pretty well. We made a video: Small format on Break.com : http://my.break.com/media/view.aspx?ContentID=327705 Large format on my web site (108 M...

The fan is an Evercool AL7015 70mm Ball Aluminum Case Cooling Fan. I got it at NewEgg.com http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835119029 It was held in the frame with four screws. Once I removed the screws I had the just fan with four little plastic legs. It just happened to fit nice...

Thanks rna_duelers, I haven't done much shooting yet, just finished it late last Sunday. I'll be doing some shooting this weekend. My last gun was the BFSG-4000 (also posted here) and it was putting golf balls through 3/4" plywood. I'm pretty sure this gun will prove to be much more powerful. If you...

The TA-3100

It's finally finished! I have my first Direct Injection gun. It's got a built in fan and the ignition system is a self-contained, removable unit. I'm using MAPP gas and this thing sounds like a frikkin 30.06 when it goes off. I really thought I was going to blow it up the first few times I fired it....

OK, I have determined that I need TUNGSTEN. A 1/2" rod 6" long would weigh a bit over 6.5 ounces. A 1" sphere would weigh about 5.75 onuces. This stuff is 1.5 times as dense as lead! Rig a good sabot and I bet I could do some real damage with either form. Anyone know where I could get tungsten bolts...

pimpmann22 I guess I'm being denser than usual (which is actually fairly impressive, we're talking depleted uranium here). Are you talking about attaching the torch stem directly to the 5/8" hose via a compression fitting? If I get rid of the business end of the torch (the piece that screws on to t...

With all due respect cardinals08 and dragon finder I've been writing software and web sites for about 20 years and I'm pretty sure reediting old posts would just make it tough to follow the flow of the conversation and since this is mainly text data I doubt it makes much difference with respect to s...

boilingleadbath Check out the http://klugeboy.net/BFSG-4000/BFSG-4000.html home page. The Red Dorsal knob is a removable ignition system (so I can swap it out or over to another gun). As for the name I just painted a strip of red, stuck on some plastic letters (Office Supply stuff) painted black ov...
