The notion of "growing a pair" includes developing an immunity to such criticism, as well as realising there is nothing more arbitrary than seeking the approval of women. I know it. It couldn't be inferred from my comment but I was remarking on my generation's overall lack of integrity (both males ...

im considering a 1/8" unit simply because its the right size fitting to make things super easier for me. would the pressure requirements be too great for the qev? would i have a hard time making 140fps? Yes. An 1/8" QEV will be woefully inadequate. Size up and purchase bushings to connect with your...

In many ways, women are like children...we get the behavior that we accept. Set a higher standard. Unless they are college-aged women. Then your higher standards earn you names like "fascist" and "old-fashioned." ....Because morality has died and my generation thinks there is virtue in meeting some...

cry your eye balls out  ... or grow a pair of proper balls. A friend of mine got married recently, I was present when he was given the following advice: On your wedding night, when your new wife is waiting for you in bed wearing nothing but her best lingerie, walk up to her slowly, and beat he...

Just got all my parts together and I'm sorry for the double post but I have a quick question. I feel dumb for asking it but I don't want to mess it up. Which way should the slide valve be facing or which end screwed into the QEV? Thanks guy! Before you ask us the question, consider the nature of a ...

lol black powder isn't illegal even here in Poland and I've got like 500 kg of nitrates too (exactly the stuff that's needed) does this make me a terrorist?? Heh. If you were in the US, you bet it would. We have a thing called "constructive intent" which means that you can , in theory, be charged. ...

This looks like something that could easily be duplicated using two air cylinders of different bores. The one with the larger bore, of course, drives the one with the smaller bore. In fact, that's quite similar to what they seem to have done with an earlier model: http://bogertaviation.com/index.php...

Spool Valve Diameter Ratios

Does anyone happen to know if there is an optimal ratio between chamber diameter and port diameter in a balanced spool valve? With a standard QDV it is obvious that increasing the port size will increase performance quadratically as the air pressure has a larger area to act upon. In this case, thoug...

My team seems to be in favor of magnetically coupled drivers. I will look into that path... it seems rather feasible after some research. There are two options, coaxial coupling and parallel coupling. Coaxial can be seen here . This type would be fully custom due to varying motor and capsule diamete...

ROV Thrusters

I am building an ROV for a group project. We need to navigate a ~50lb vehicle at a depth of 40ft in salt water. One caveat is that the vehicle should consist of cheap off-the-shelf parts with minimal need for special tooling. (Long story short, the client would like to see what an "average" but moti...
