The ATtiny85 is an awesome little IC. There's no better choice when you need some small, disposable intelligence in your project.

Post removed by BTB untill further notice.

Any beer drinkers on here?

I'm into American craft brews and imports. I also recently started brewing my own beer.

For LARP-type games you should not use anything stronger than 3/4" CPVC. I don't advocate shooting anyone even with toy bows, but if you must, make sure you take extra care not only to cushion the arrows with foam, but also ensure that the foam can't break off and cause a direct impact between the a...

Lately I'm finding that wide-bellied sheepfoot and wharncliffe style blades are really great for utility tasks. The upsweep typically found on most blades subtracts from the straight portion of blade. I was looking at my Izula and I noticed that it would be perfect... if the blade was flipped upside...

In general I've found that CPVC is more elastic than normal PVC. Normal PVC is stiffer and does not recover its shape as nicely unless you nest a fiberglass rod inside.

I've made plenty of "toy" bows using CPVC.

Also,

eBay, same with the giant slide valves... All of them were impulse buys ("Woah, a giant QEV! ... Woah, a giant slide valve!") and now I'm finally getting around to making use of them

Simple Cannon

This is hardly worthy of a post given what people here have accomplished since my last submission. Nevertheless, it's still a cannon so here it is. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/PointBlank017/ALC3_zps87cf61c0.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/PointBlank017/ALC2_zps84cfc2fb.jpg ...

Hm, I don't believe it's quite like that else the system would only work in one impact orientation.

Tornado Grenade

I just got one of these for $30. The guts are rather simple, after pressurizing with propane, the piston locks against a stack of metal "beads" which are assembled onto the pin. When the pin is pulled, the stack remains in place due to force from the piston, but, with enough inertia from impact, the...

Should be easy enough to replicate, though I wouldn't go for rubber power, if you want some real energy it should be a pneumatc.
By this do you mean air-spring (like Nitro piston) or compressed air released by a valve?
