wait wait wait, you said your mate used DWV (darinage) pipe for his pneumatic cannon? wow, i thought it would blow up, i mean, i use it fpr combuistion but that only get 50psi max ish.

how did that perform?

also, has ne1 got an idea of the pressure that DWV pvc can withhold?

drac: oh, ok then. i thought sweating was just heating up the copper so it expands into the othe part or copper and they somehow just stay like that...

solder is not gunna be strong enough to take any pressure, it is used strictly for electrical work and isnt strong at all.

i think for copper u use a tekneek called sweating, its on the wiki

copper can take a fair bit i think.

ok, here is a fun game... gring up the sparkler stuff so that it isnt on the sticks anymore, just powder. now get a tennis ball and cut/drill a hole about 10mm diametre in it, now you want to fill the tennis ball up with the powder right to the top. stick a new sparkler into the ball as a fuse so it...

i guess it is just a matter of getting the barrell just the right length, where the pressure in the chamber is just enough to keep pushing but wont slow the spud down.
