jrrdw... I have been trying to pick locks for... I dunno, maybe 2 months and I have made my own tools out of hack saw blades. (If you get the correct type of hack-saw blade they can make amazing picks!)

To be honest I'm not sure what its made out of. However the pipe can be used instead of the coper piping on your house for water so it must be designed to take pressure. On the stickers on it, it says Plasson. I googled it but it doesn't say how much pressure it can take.

Here's my first cannon that I made not for looks just for performance and I think its pretty good. It shoots marbles, AA Batteries with a bit of tape and anything else that fits. I have made it with interchangeable barrels but at the moment the only barrel I have is the good old marble barrel ...

Does it have to be an open air spark? I don't think it does. It just means you will need to make the trigger a bit more complicated. Here's my diagram.

Ohh sorry. I didn't full understand what you wanted to make.

To make it would probaly just take a while. It shouldn't be TOOOO hard.

Put a bolt or something sticking out of the piece of metal just to the left of the trigger in my diagram so that when it is pulled that way buy the spring it stops on the bolt so then it is closed. when you pull it it opens and well... yeah.
