the only reason i like the idea of the compressed air in the back was that you could easily adjust it to the proper psi level depending on the psi up front, so i could test it at different mix levels. maybe if i had a spring by itself where i could adjust the tension, but the only problem i have wit...

the only thing im worried about is that the valve that seals the barrel wont move back very far, and i dont know how this will affect the flow of the gas

no burst disc hybrid revisited

in one of my earlier posts, i made a design for a no burst disc hybrid looked somethin like this <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e226/nabs000abs/inlinenoburstdiscconcept.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a> wel...

i think it uses a diaphragm valve like most sprinkler valves, so once i purchase it ill see if i can possibly remove the solenoid and replace it with a plastic cap of some sort so that a blow gun can be installed

yea i use imperial pipe since im in the US
but its just about 3/4in
if it dosnet fit i might be able to use PVC cement or somethin to bond it to some threaded fittings

ive been searching around online all weekend for solenoid activaited valves and most of them are way over my head when it comes to pricing

also its hard to find valves that can handle the potential pressures of a hybrid unless they are industrial grade

any ideas???

i figured that the air chamber wouldnt ignite because the pressure of the air rushing in would hold the propane in its respective chamber
once it ignites, the sprinkle rvalve would close to prevent backflow

i may have to rig multiple valves however to get a fast enough dump

no burst disc hybrid

I was thinkin of this design for my first hybrid: The gun would basically be a pneumatic and a cumbustion gun joined together with a sprinkler valve In the rear, a chamber would be pressurized with air the front chamber, which is connected to the barrel, would be injected with the right amount of pr...

I was thinkin of the same exact plans for my first hybrid the only difference is that the combustion chamber would injected with gas instead of the back chamber an igniter would have a spark constantly running, which would not ignite the gas in this chamber the concentrations would be too high, whic...

the ebay seller says its a valve, but i can only see one port for the air to go in

the only reason i was considering it over a sprinkler valve was cause its rated at 145psi and metal, versus a plastic valve that could easily break

also it says quick dump, so im thinkin fast discharge

could this possibly be used as an alternative to a sprinker valve?
