I was taking it easy. That's why I was enjoying this moment for some comic releif. Yeah, I knew about just as much when I first started. Then I discovered the joy of the forum search key and spudwiki. Two lifesavers.

hahahahaha............sorry, had to laugh at this one.
NPT fittings are supposed to get tight until the point where you can't turn them anymore. This is so that a proper seal can be acquired. It's perfectly fine to have some of the threads not being used. Just remember to teflon the threads.

Go to a local PLUMBING(not ace/lowes/home depot) store. They have every single part you'll ever need. If they don't have it then they can get it.

Okay, BC, we won't get in a squeaking fight but I have to make two small points. #1 electrolysis is a very efficient energy conversion, with some getting appr. 90% efficiency. Plus hydrogen COULD(just a guess) potentially be much more powerful than propane. #2 The skin theory is just a theory. I wou...

HAYLO_Stealer, how about you do some research. The skin THEORY is only a THEORY on how the Hindenburg Crashed. The Mythbusters covered this and came to the conclusion that although the skin did create MINOR thermite reactions, the reason the hindenburg blew up and killed everyone was a combination o...

Yes, the barrel was overdone on the straw myth. So what if it was an 80ft long barrel(yes 80ft, not 24), they still got what they wanted and it looked really funny.

The myth is that splinters from the cannon ball hitting the ship can kill more than the cannon ball itself. I've seen their cannon now, it's basically 2-2" electric diaphrahm valves with 4 scuba tanks. The barrel is long, but by my estimates around the ideal legnth(most people grossly underestimate ...

No, he's talking about the pirate episode that I'm watching right now. I haven't seen their full scale cannon but their small scale one looked ok, just it used an electric diaphrahm instead of a pneumaticly actuated one.

I'm about to watch that episode so I'll have to look at it but their valves are usually pretty good. I'll tell you what I think in about half an hour.

I don't beleive it could have happened. It is harder to blow a barrel up than you think. That bannana peeling looks oddly fake. If the mythbusters did everything they could try to bust a barrel like that(including welding the barrel shut) and only got a slight bulge in the barrel then there is no wa...

no, not 6 times as much pressure, just six different outlets from the chamber or 6 different chambers.

simple, go to your local plumbing store(not to be confused with lowes/home depot which are hardware/construction stores that don't carry proper plumbing supplies). They should have some there, just ask about cam locks.
