Off Road Ford
Well since I've been unable to do any heavy lifting for the past couple weeks because of my ankle, eliminating any further work on my cannons, I set my eyes on a new project being my truck. I've rekindled my interest in off-roading and exploring the back country, as well as re-purposing my car as a ...

ITWOST, A seal melted and blew on FEAR today, so tests were called off as a thunderstorm prevented time for repairs. No videos and rather disappointed, but come end of August hopefully I can get a few shots off. Until then my focus will be on my bolt action air rifle while I'm in a cast. Thought I'd...

The barrel is 10ft, but after my surgery I plan to add another 10 foot section. I would happily upgrade to a larger diameter barrel but sadly money is very tight at the moment. I plan to fire lead slugs with a steel jacket around them to cut deformation. Tomorrow tests continue, I'll keep ya'll post...

ITWOST, Today I finished all major repairs to FEAR as well as completed attaching the new recoil system I built (it is Hydro-pneumatic based). Preliminary testing today showed FEAR works flawlessly now and the recoil system has no problem handling 10x firings. We'll see what happens when I move towa...

Yeah the thought crossed my mind that I should support the elbows so as to prevent this kind of damage due to the resultant forces due to the pressure, but I was impatient and figured one test couldn't do much damage. Yet another one of my "you're a dumb*ss" moments. Repairs should be quick none the...

I do apologize for my absence. School was rather hectic this year and along with a rough break up with the girlfriend I've been kept preoccupied for the past couple months. But what better way to mend a broken heart then by flat out f*cking sh*t up with a giant cannon. FEAR is back and I have a mont...

Foreshadowing for the summer...
And after several failed (shorted out) ignition systems, I modified an existing ignition system idea and created mine which does not use a high voltage arc but is very reliable and simple to use. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o266/uc...

Sound like some cool classes. As a second year Mechanical Engineering student, I agree with gear dog, I have found that any class that is not hands on will pretty much bore you to death because it's all about homework and tests (these are the majority of the classes you have to take your first two y...

34" inches is actually a reasonable length for many firearms so I don't see why a 34" hybrid would be any different, it would just need a good stock. Hell, I have a 60" 20x hybrid I can shoulder fire. I don't know about stress relieving welds, you might want to shoot larda an email about that one, I...
