If I were in your shoes I would forego the complex heating device and think more practical. Rethink the whole thing.. Think metal. Steel is heavy .copper is expencive. How about aluminiun. Just use epoxy. I think modern technolohy has made it possiable . I would think that epoxy would be just as strong, maybe even stronger. You just have to make sure the surface is ready to accepct the epoxy. Like clean and free of oil and dirt. You could even scuff up the surface so the epoxy could ...

If you want paint that will stick really good ,use truck bed liner spray paint. That stuff is great. I used a little on my cannon and I think its cool.
