I can foresee a problem with keeping the ammo on the piston face. The bowl face may help but I still think it will just jam itself constantly. Also, will the solenoid actuate a piston to actuate another piston? Seems like an unnecessary step to me.

A couple of "Sh*t did it hit me ?" moments I've had a similar experience with a battery and an open valve. I forgot to close a ball valve and was holding up the cannon while my friend pressurized it. I had the bright idea of putting my hand over the barrel and after a bit I began to wonder why I fe...

Although it was stated many times, the hose does look to be a problem. A good alternative that I have seen would to simply use a small ball valve similar to that on the HEAL gun. It seemed to me like it worked well for that purpose, plus you wouldn't have the hose problem on this design. Otherwise, ...

Online is the best place to find them. I can't find them locally anymore.

Link

Also, can anyone link me to the online seller of nerf-like footballs but were specifically made for paintball?

@davidvaini:

After looking through your posts on this, I am very pleased with what you have developed. However, I have a question regarding the specs of the cartridge. Approximately how long are the cartridges you are using now when fully assembled and at what pressure does the foil burst at? Thanks.

Will popular vote be a factor in the judging and competition? I can understand the chair of judges to judge on preformance, but will there also a field that any member can judge on, like for the most popular cannon?

First things first, I am going to build a piston gun, especially now that I am inspired by MrCrowley's new piston gun. Afterwords, I want to try to develop JSR's Pre-Charged Piston idea. I'm fairly certain I can make it work. Drawings soon to come.
