Based on the sort of things you want, $50 is a very very tight budget. You'll either need to cut back a lot on design, or make a larger budget.

I'd do a good search to find the good place to buy then if your budget is short - slide valves are a little pricey.

It's very good for semi auto, with a compressor, CO2 or HPA setup.

Exactly right. By letting air from port 1, the piston/diaphragm (yellow bit) can be forced back by the air on the other side.

EDIT: Oh and a slide valve is just something that when you push the button it closes the exhaust path with a "slide" right? That's a gate valve. This is a slide/sleeve valve . When pushed forwards, it gives free flow in both directions. When pulled back, it shuts off the input and vents the system ...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that.

Photobucket is my preferred site as well. Imageshack is not as nice a site IMO.

Jack: Is that tire inflater consistent and does it have a fast exhaust time? No, and no. Neither of those things. Those are inaccurate, and low flow to compensate for that (if they were high flow, there would be many a burst tyre). I would suggest against multiple barrels. It will either get very c...

A lot of people upload their photos to off-site hosting like Photobucket or Imageshack (an easy process, you just need an account at one of the sites, and then there are guides there to uploading if you need help), then use tags like: [img]http://www.myphotosarekepthere.com/swapthisaddresswiththatof...

But still, that would be a reasonable increase.

I'm a little lax about some ratings (but I usually stay within or close to most)- I use a 145 psi QEV at 320, and it holds fine. Quite a poor example to set, but those pressures are great fun.

I find I get measurable performance increases with a clean lubed barrel, over a barrel that's just been left without. While static friction isn't a bad thing, as it allows a little pressure to build up, most friction in the barrel will be dynamic, which is undesirable. I'd happy lose the performance...

That's not a problem, I'm a fair way towards the 300 spudbux as it is. Actually, do any of these count as art? Exploded can , another exploded can , DVD player casing . And some stuff unrelated to spudding I like to call art: Coins * and portrait drawing *No glue, adhesives, stands hidden round the ...

That's pretty neat. I like it. It's probably worth it just for the increased searching ease, although I'm sure I'll mix the search box up with my Google toolbar a couple of times. EDIT: I have revised my opinion. It's much better than that. 2nd edit: But I have now mixed it up with the google toolba...

That would be sweet if you could use more pressure. If you used a smaller chamber, a shock pump would be a viable option.

Mr Crowley is right, it's mostly a worldwide thing. There was a situation where a group of "artists" nailed a load of UK banknotes to a wall - they get fined for defacing the currency of her Majesty the queen. The same group burns a similar pile of money - it's perfectly legal. Destroying legal tend...
