I had my air compressor hooked directly to the chamber. With constant pressure, the valve always stays closed. It's as simple as that :)

As soon as you pressurize the gun, The pressure in front of the valve keeps it closed at all times automatically. It stays open but as soon as you disconnect the air supply, the pressure differential slams it closed. While the pressure is the same around the poppet valve and inside the gun is the sa...

That's a fantastic layout mate. I absolutely love it. I've been on this site for a long time and I can't say I've seen such a simple set up used in that fashion. Top job!

Hi mate, Thanks very much for your interest. This type of pilot valve is by no means new. Quite a few of the Dutch spudders used this before such as Brain The Brain. The barrel is about 80cm long and the chamber is 1/2'' galvanized steel. How fast you can empty your pilot really can either make or b...

That's it. I'm finally going to get off my bum and share my gift with the world. The schrader valve used as a check valve for a stirrup or shock pump. With a pump that has 1/2'' tubing, just grind the bulk of the rubber but keep enough so that it will make an air tight seal with the tubing. Next is ...

Whoa this thread has been dead for a while :?

I just wanted to keep this gun as simple and streamline as possible. I loved this old coax. It's been down for ages and recycled so many times.

That's one of the best looking guns I've seen for a while. Fantastic work there mate. As far as performance goes.... Your piston looks beautifully machined but the equalization hole is way too big. The reason your performance isn't too good is because of the combination of that hole and the compress...
