I could probably get one of those laser cut for my quadrotor next time I visit uni :D I'm not quite sure I like it though. It does have to keep the rotors running even when stationary. Of course the versions with wheeled landing gear don't protect from collisions in flight but then obstacle avoidanc...

We generally used coaxial coupling at work but that was because there was quite a bit of pressure to contain and the walls have to be quite thin for efficiency due to the exponential decay of the magnetic field so keeping the OD down was quite important. If you are able to, linking the magnets with ...

I've had some experience working with and designing with mag drive pumps but for high powered applications ceramics or carbon bushings tended to be needed. I'm not sure how easy it would be go get use parts like that as an average individual.

If it's just a question of soldering some parts together I don't think I'd mind rolling my own.. Yeah, it's pretty trivial. You could potentially 3D print components too ? I was thinking of getting one of those 50 dollar ones as a disposable toy, hmmm... I'm still considering getting one of ...

Well if you were going for a quadrotor: A KK 2.0 flight controller . Four ESCs like these (these can be flashed as an upgrade or you could get these pre-flashed ones... ) Four Motors, I've used these DT750s . There are probably easier ones to use out there but I haven't looked in to the thrust value...

I'd suggest building one, especially as you have the capability to mill out bit for the frame. 500-1000g payload will be easy to acheive. A flight controller like the KK 2.0 is cheap and pretty easy to fly in stable mode and comes pre configured with editable settings on the onboard LCD screen. It'l...

Personally, I think it makes more sense to... Well in that case, I think you should fire the archer and his bow, then let him take the shot whilst in flight. Those Arcus arrowstars are pretty cool, I'll have a read once I've handed in the work for today's deadline :) The arrows aren't rear lo...

I regularly use one as a power supply for LiPo chargers. It makes parallel charging possible, very useful.

Just use an air rifle?

If you're concerned that's not safe, then less dense projectiles will just have to be used and you'll have to drop the range.

I'm not sure I would be diagnosed as a dysfunctional sociopath for holding it, but I see it as deeply rational. Well no, I think is is quite a common situation. But there are also people who even if they had an infinite supply of free of charge prostitutes that they never had to see again, would no...

I would likely not associate with actual women at all This is nearly enough to explain this whole debate :D I don't want to live with cats! but the whole "girl power"/"strong smart independent women" movement is a mainstream view which essentially says the same thing without calling for gendercide....

I think my views are supported by logical argument, in as much as I believe my premises to be factual.

No it would just curve off to one side and drop more or less quickly depending on the direction and intensity of the side wind.
