I am going to try to make one. Just a fitting that is plugged then I will make a small hole in the plug. How big should the hole be?
Hmm, I have no idea how small the hole should be. If you're set on making your own, I'd say start really small, try it, and then enlarge it based on trial and error ...

I've been looking forward to seeing the gun work, looks great! I like the simplicity of the gun. Props on using the tightbore barrel, that's something I've been wanting to do myself.
Have you thought about adding a needle valve to control the airflow? I find that it takes some of the guesswork out ...

The best way to limit the rpm would be to add some kind of detent, you can look at one of JSR's impressive detent projects for reference (someone else will have to provide links, or use the search), or if you want a simpler (but less adjustable) detent method, check out my bbmg . I used a simple ...

Adjustable BBMG
Hi everyone, this is a project I've been working on for a while, on and off.
It's a really simple concept, it's essentially a ball-detent type bbmg except I used windshield washer hose as the "valve." The hose is extremely easy to work with, and reliably holds bb's to about 100 psi before letting ...

It seems to me like the only thing that could by making the solid hot glue piston harder to actuate would be the friction the hot glue makes against its housing. Even with grease, I've noticed that hot glue is much stickier than other materials. Also, the pressure on the hot glue could be causing it ...

How about a compression fitting? What I did on my bb gun is I drilled out the stop on a 1/4" compression fitting and slid the brakeline through that into the tee, from the inside so the factory made lip on the end could be used as the sealing area. I found a 1/4" compression fitting with 1/2" npt ...

Have you thought about using shells? I know that adds some complexity, but it would eliminate the problems associated with nerf darts bending or jamming. Also shell ejection looks awesome. Here's a design I have used (with a pneumatic ram instead of blow-forward) that was created by another member ...

Hmmm, I hadn't thought about that. Shooting larger pellets would be cool, but wouldn't that mean scrapping the bbmg concept and using a valve? I don't wanna hijack Demon's thread though, so maybe discussion of this should occur elsewhere (or it seems to already have happened).

Is there any reason why an o-ring or rubber tube breech wouldn't work to slow the rate of fire and increase the power? I've made a bbmg with a tube breech that runs on very little air (compared to a normal bbmg) at 100 psi, and it will shoot about 2 rounds per second at it's slowest. Even shooting ...

Just from what you've written, I would say the major issue is the fit of your piston inside the tee, the piston should fit snugly, while still being able to slide when pushed with a finger. There could be other problems as well, if possible some pictures of your valve and piston would help us figure ...
