In northern climates like Canada ABS is more common than PVC because of the potential of frozen pipes. PVC will shatter but ABS is resillant to expansion loads. And can take shock loading better than PVC.
You wan't a big cannon please shy away from pvc. I'ts just not safe.

You're building a big boy now aren't ya? My chamber is 2284 cc! 2 litre is huge and will give alot of power so material selection is important. If you can get pressure rated ABS then use that; PVC produces shrapnel! you may see imprinted on the pipe "sch40" this is a good pipe to use as it is pressu...

You are unable to figure it out on your own. I'm gonna be quiet on the forums now because i said my bit. Hopefully someone will try my idea. an...

I love it! I'm upsetting the status quo. Either way, your method seems to be only slightly more accurate than spray&pray. Like they said, windy day, you're screwed. And a stiff wind you prolly get a hard on! Comon! this is an enclosed space with maybe 3% of the chamber exposed to the wind when the c...

Umm it's not the whole stove...... just the parts that meter the gas and mix the air. baically way less bulk than all you "spudders" display in your photos.

Lets Take a vote. Who all thinks affliction should be banned? And for your meter, Cant you just screw your endcap off and stick the torch in there, maybe blowing a little to mix it all up? You just stepped in crap! WTF was that? It makes no sense Edit: Personally I think you should look around here...

So you basically post a huge arguement to something that has been estabilished and as soon as someone makes a fool of you, you give up? Why even bother posting if you knew that you would be made a fool of? And firthermore, which were you using acetylene or oxygen? are you stupid? Oxygen on its own ...

You really irritate me. You are the type of person who would attempt to change the shape of the wheel to a square, because circles "suck". ]thus this IS the most simple and effective way to fuel a spudgun. Most simple? No, the simplest method involves an aerosol can and an index finger. Most effect...

Ya Ya whatever... I may have overestimated it's actual distance as I could not see where it actually landed with loss of velocity and all with air resistance. But I did use a pure oxyacetylene mix! and I did not die! I was demonstrating how much power this fuel actually has. I fire 1/4 mile distance...

@Affliction, Don't call us stupid for building a meter more sophisticated, accurate, and efficient than your design. A meter consisting of a torch valve connected (via hose and clamps) to a length of pipe with a valve at each end and a gauge in the middle can be constructed for less than $30. It wi...

not to criticize you or anything, but how old are you Afflication? And it might be in your best interests to post the cannon that did this (supposidly), along with specs, and possibly a video. I always love a Killjoy cause they break me out of my drunken stupor and focus my energy into killing this...
