Im going for another adventure into bunnings tomorrow to see if i can find anything suitable. My copepr pipe is 10mm ID, my aluminium pipe is like 7.9mm ID. The way i see it, i have two alternatives. 1. Somehow find 6mm ID pipe and somehow find 6mm bearings/ammo which is hard to get in Aus 2. Find a...

I just went for a trip to Bunnings and picked up some 1m aluminium tubing, it has on ID of like 6.8mm, the cost was $10 per meter. Is that still too loose for 6mm rounds?

To get 2000fps+ you would need like solid propellant... ...or a hybrid. There are two I can think of that have recorded 2000 fps+ velocities. Possibly one or two others as well. I would also note that one of the fastest projectiles I know of at 110,000 fps (not a typo) didn't use a combustible prop...

Then go for it.No diagram of mine would be useful though. My tools I have are a bench grinder, dremmel and then an array of hand tools. My gun will be say a max pressure of like 100psi (basically due to sound considerations since in I'm Australia).  My main problem is the sear system, I have one wo...

To hit 2000fps+ you would need the chuck norris of springs. But to contain the spring you would need nothing short of thick, strong steel, burly arms and a will of steel, as well as Gary Barnes workshop. I think that mechanical springs aren't worth the trouble if you're going large, I would go with...

To get 2000fps+ you would need like solid propellant, but we dont speak of that here. To hit 2000fps+ you would need the chuck norris of springs. But to contain the spring you would need nothing short of thick, strong steel, burly arms and a will of steel, as well as Gary Barnes workshop. In short, ...

The hot glue part worries me. It is the solid core that gives my bolt it's strength. Don't even think about it JSR .. :? My bolt will have a bolt going through the middle, with a nut and washer on each side. Then in the middle of the bolt is hot glue. So that doesn't sound strong enough? Would I be...

[qoute] No. No need to.It is very strong and I can always use my teeth to catch it in case it fails. It's made of two layers of pipe, then a solid core. I have shot it when unlocked and it wasn't anything to worry about anyway. The bolt doesn't travel more than an inch when fired un-locked. Because ...

The bolt rotates and locks. Then in can't move back anymore. I know that part, what i meant was, is there any safety mechanisms apart from that? I do see it looks very strong though, is the bolt solid metal with a metal rod tapped into it? EDIT: Thinking about it, that is a very strong looking mech...

Hey BTB, iv got a question about your bolt. What methods do you have in place to prevent the bolt from flying out the back of the gun when you fire. What it looks like you have is a rod bolted through the bolt, which is braced against the pipe behind the tee for when you fire. do you have anything e...

I have never made a BBMG before, but could you have each barrel as a mini vortex BBMP, and the airsource can be from the same source. So like a CO2 canister split into like 6 vortex guns. I would imagine you would need like a 300psi source to shoot 6 barrel effectively?

So, basically i will need to make the clip on top of the gun, so that gravity will help feed, rather than hanging down on the bottom. I can see how that would help. By the way Inon, I origionally planned for the gun to have a spring to power it, but i live in Aus, and there are no hardware stores s...

If you have access to some gears, as well as some knowledge on gear ratios, you could have a gear on the handle. And off that gear you can have 2 gear systems, one that cocks and activates a hammer valve, and one that turns the barrels. So as your turning the handle, the chamber moves to align the n...

Yeah as has been said, the suction wont pull a marshmellow out the clip. You could have it gravity or spring fed, and the marshmellwos are blocked from the barrel by a cover between the magazine and the barrel. When you pump the gun, the cover is moved back and forward, allowing a marshmallow to fal...
