i almost forgot!! i would strongly suggest NOT going with either the SOCOM I or the SOCOM II. The barrels on both of the are way to short for anything but close combat, and the round itself is wayy to big for that. If its the modern look you like check out this baby:

then go with either the springfeild or the M1A, personally i would prefer the M1A because of its semi auto capabilities and upgradability. There are two companies making some pretty sweet looking chassis systems such as the EBR (Enhanced Battle Rile) from the people that want the m-14 back as the US...

deffinatly, you got some greattt deals on your guns, iv had to dish out a little more cash unfortunatly, but iv got a few bigger newer rifles. You should check out a springfield or an m1 garand if your looking for WW2 rifles, if there isnt a gun store that close, or with much selection, check out ht...

deff, i personally woud like the .416, but then again, as you said, you would be out on the range knowning in the back of your mind that you could offf gotten the legendary 50 cal round. Not only does it stay supersonic, but after about 800 yards i beleive it is, the Kenetic energy of the .416 will ...

yah, it gotten to be about 3.5 bucks to load yourself, but the other thing is now even the .50 BMG reloading equipmentis pretty expensive=[ and i checked, it about 5.5-6.5 bucks, but match grade is upwards of 9 bucks a pop :x if your seriously condiering it, look into the new .416 round. its got a m...

well, both devices reduce the kick so whether you using the silencer or the muzzle brake then kick is going to be somewhat similar, and on the M82A1, the springs and recoil system alone substantially reduce the massive kick of the .50 BMG. and btw jared, iv already started saving up for my own :D bu...

yah, youve got the idea, the barrett scilencer accually replaces the barrell too i believe, so its not slowing down the bullet too much, but again, with such a large caliber weapon, you really dont shoot anything under 800 yards, and muzzle flash is really a socom kind of advantage for weapons like ...

yah, the supressed m82a1 has a suppressor that takes up almost the entire length of the exposed barrell (about 14-15 in) and reduces the sound down to about the equvilent of a standard, unsupressed colt .45 ACP pistol, which for what the barrett does to material targets, is pretty decent. In reality...
