I may text my pulse valve cannon for this as that is actually what a pulse valve is designed to do, knock things with blasts of air (they are used in dust collectors).
Also what are the actual rules for the testing envoirnment, i.e. does it need to be outside or can it be in a confined area?

As stated before, those vortex cannons do not displace enough air to knock anything over at 20 feet. I cant be sure, as i am not positive about my magnetic knowledge, but im not sure it would add spin as the nail is not North/South discriminant. Im not sure if you are interested, but i would look into pneumatic cylinders to actuate a ball valve.
