3/4 sch 80 = Is this some kind of pipe? :?
3/4 cpvc = What's the c? I only know the pvc part :oops:
1/2 sdr 11 = What's sdr? :cry ...

If it were up to me, I would just use a 1.5" or 2" piep and scatter shoot them. Oh, and don't shoot them at people.

Thanks, I'm already in the process of building one with the 2" pipe thanks to rna_duelers he gave me a pretty cool specs on how to build a loud cannon. But i had so much fun ...

What size pipe do you need to shoot paintballs? I want to make a combustion type cannon that shoots paintballs so what size chambers and size pipe would i need? Sorry for the noob questions

ABS does not need primer! Unlike PVC, the plastic does not need to be "pre-softened" prior to bonding. They sell ABS cleaner , which may help the bond some, but it's not necessary.

I'm assuming you got DWV ABS, because hardware stores wont carry the pressure-rated stuff. Ergo, you will be forced ...

You can use abs for a combustion, not a pnuematic.
I would recomend you use primer; the guys at the hardware store are usually idiots. I asked them for pvc primer and they gave me normal cement. One time some one there actually asked me "what's sch 40?".

Homedepot didn't have primer for ABS ...

Ok, I just got back from homedepot and i just realized i picked up the black pipes (ABS pipes). Will that work? Also, the homedepot employee said that i don't need ABS primer. ABS doesn't need primer? Is this true? So I only picked up a cement for it.

my marble rifle with a burst disk not only has a MAJOR kick but it also is so loud ppl were coming from all over asking me why i was firing my parent's 12 guage when they werent around...... we dont own any kind of real gun........

Ok,well a C:B is the Chamber to Barrel Ratio.and the 3L stand for 3Litres by volume and the barrel wiht a volume of 1 Litre.You can remember learning Ratios from school right?

I can give you some rough designs that would yeild a loud cannon.

-500mm long 100m Diameter pipe,chamber.
-800mm long ...

So can someone give me the exact dimensions for the loudest cannon plan.

Chamber lenght = ?
Barrell lenght = ?
Chamber size = ?
Barrell size = ?

I was wondering what size pipes would make the loudest boom?
Is it the fatter the pipe the louder? The longer barrell the louder? or the longer the chamber the louder? I'm getting ready to build a basic one and i was thinking of the 4" to 2" cannon. Thanks....
