This is great project I'll be checking this thread very frequently, I hope and expect this will go very well.

I'll need a dremel for the breech loading on the next launcher I'm designing, spose a hack saw, jig saw and file could do a just as good job. But much more labourious.

I've made one and nearly knocked my teeth out when it broke.
THe handle hit me in the face, two teeth were loosened, one got chipped.The inside of my upper lip was cut up pretty bad.
The gums were torn off my front teeth.They still look weird, kinda "dawn of the dead" like..
I might have broken ...

That's a nice idea it looks like it uses a torsion bundle for the power. Those are called onager's. To get much better range add asling to the end of the throwing arm, like a trebuchet, it will greatly improve performance.

Still got some shots off though, and I'd forgotten just how much I love the solid "PTHOOM" sound HEAL ...

I would personally love to make a semi-automatic, with an inch(ish) barrel and about 20 shots per refill, but I doubt that even coming close to the drawing board.

Great looking cannon, I think some fizzy drink bottles fit in 75mm 16bar pipe(the brits tennis ball pipe) so it might be worth a tr with your tennis ball pipe.
